He brings more than 16 years of experience in the sector and joins from Hines, where he had been an Investment director for the past three years to lead its Spanish acquisitions team. Prior to this, he gained experience at Redevco, Zaphir Asset Management and Aguirre Newman.
Barings has been active in Iberia since 2015 and has around €600 mln of assets in the country across a range of core and value-add investments encompassing both equity and debt investments across commercial and ‘living’ sectors, logistics and retail. The portfolio includes landmark assets such as the Avalon Business Park in Madrid and Berceo Shopping Centre in Logrono, with recent activity heavily focused in the logistics space.
