Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has hired Struan Robertson to lead its real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Bank of America hires Struan Robertson as EMEA real estate head

Robertson, the former co-head of global real estate investment banking at Morgan Stanley, will be based in London and is set to join the group in July.

He will report to Jeffrey Horowitz, head of global real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking, and Luigi Rizzo, head of Emea investment banking.

Robertson joins BAML from Global Student Accommodation where he has held the post of global head of investment management for the past 18 months. He previously spent three years at Host Hotels & Resorts and before then was with Morgan Stanley's real estate investment banking division, which he left in 2012.
