Bouwen en Wonen owns the 22,500 m2 Expo building, Antwerp's exposition centre. The property is currently let with a long-term lease contract to Mexico, a subsidiary of Artexis specialised on the management of exposition centres.

The acquisition is in line with Banimmo's strategy to purchase properties with a strong redevelopment potential. The site offers several possibilities for redevelopment that will be discussed with the tenant, Banimmo said in a press release.

Artexis organises conferences, expositions and events in more than 13 countries across Europe. It previously bought the asset from the insurance company Mercator.
