The opening of Baneasa Shopping City in Bucharest heralds the arrival of several multinational fashion brands in Romania, according to the developer. The 85,000 m2 shopping centre was fully let before the official opening last Friday. The four anchor tenants are Peek & Cloppenberg, Solmar, Inditex and Azadea Group.

The shopping mall was built for a total investment of EUR 150 mln.

'If we had to resume Baneasa Shopping City in a single word, it would be simply 'fashion'. The 18 of April will be the 1st day when the citizens of Bucharest will have the occasion to step into the world of novelty and surprises,' Ergun Ergen, administrator & retail development manager of Baneasa Developments.

The shopping centre is an integrated part of Baneasa Commercial Area, a 450,000 m2 retail park that also features furniture retailer Ikea and department store Carrefour.
