The leasing process for the 85,000 m2 Baneasa Shopping City in Bucharest has been completed. When the mall opens in spring 2008 it willl for the first time bring together several international shopping brands that are new entrants to Romania.

Peek & Cloppenburg, Solmar, Inditex and Azadea Group will be the four main anchors of the 220-store shopping centre. More than half of the rentable surface of the mall has been taken up by brands new to Romania.

The Shopping City is part of the wider Baneasa project, one of the largest urban developments in Europe. With over 1 million m2 of construction area over 221 hectares of land, Baneasa will include an open and spacious residential area, a modern business park, and one of the largest commercial areas in Southeast Europe.
