Italy's Banca Italease has hired investment bank Lazard to market the sale of its real estate portfolio worth some EUR 400mln. The properties are part of Italease's non-strategic portfolio and consist of buildings and land in several Italian cities, including Rome and Milan, according to Italian media.
The portfolio also includes assets for logistics use, such as a complex in Pioltello, near Milan. The move is in line with Italease's strategy of optimising returns from its real estate business. Earlier this year, Banco Popolare, Italease's largest shareholder, announced it was hiving off EUR 800 mln of real estate into a new fund, Immobiliare BPV.
