The German unit of Dutch building group BAM has been awarded the contract to build a football stadium in Augsburg and a multi-functional sports complex in Ludwigsburg. The total investment volume comes to EUR 85 mln.
The German unit of Dutch building group BAM has been awarded the contract to build a football stadium in Augsburg and a multi-functional sports complex in Ludwigsburg. The total investment volume comes to EUR 85 mln.
HBM Stadien- und Sportstättenbau, a subsidiary of BAM's German unit, will carry out the work on FC Augsburg's stadium to expand the capacity from 30,000 to 49,000 m2. The project, costing EUR 43 mln, is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2009.
BAM has experience with building sports stadiums. HBM Stadien- und Sportstättenbau is currently working on the 02 World multi-functional sports arena in Berlin and a new football stadium for first-division team Dynamo in Dresden. BAM, in conjunction with subsidiary Interbeton, is completing two football stadiums for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
