Ballymore Asset Management Limited (BAML), the asset management arm of international property development company, Ballymore, has appointed Tony Hymers as managing director and Ross McCaskill as finance director.

Hymers joins from Burlington Estates, the property management services company based in Mayfair, which he co-founded in 2012. He is a chartered surveyor, Fellow of RICS and has over 25 years’ experience in the industry.

Hymers started his career working in the commercial departments of housing associations, undertaking leasehold management, commercial management and PRS.

He moved to the private sector in 2010 and started working for Marr-Johnson & Stevens as their head of property management. With a fellow director he undertook a management buy-out of the block management section in 2012 and founded Burlington Estates.

In addition, Hymers acted as chair of The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) from October 2018 until September 2020.

In his new role, Hymers will focus on driving high standards across the service and making changes that will have a direct and positive impact for both customers and employees.

I will seek to build on the good work done so far, applying my extensive experience in property management to take the service to new heights.'

Finance director
McCaskill joins BAML as finance director. His experience includes real estate investment, development and asset management in addition to accounting and taxation within the property and the professional services industries.

He was previously chief operating officer at Ekistics Property Advisors, a pan-European real estate private equity fund advisory business. Prior to that he spent 10 years at The Conygar Investment Company. He has also spent time at Prestbury Investment Holdings and Dixon Wilson Chartered Accountants.

McCaskill is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is the Chair of OxRES, the Oxford Real Estate Society, which hosts industry and career-related events with the aim of promoting the property industry to students and alumni of the University of Oxford.

In his new role, McCaskill will lead the finance function of BAML ensuring the company provides a best-in-class property management service to the freeholders and leaseholders at its London developments.
