Kadans Science Partner, the life sciences real estate specialist owned by AXA IM, has increased its portfolio with two assets in London’s King's Cross.

The company recently struck as JV with Canary Wharf Group to deliver the largest multi-let life science building in Europe.
‘We strongly believe that London is perfectly placed to rapidly expand in the life science sector. Kadans is now delivering over 1 mln ft2 of laboratory accommodation in London providing options for growing businesses allowing us to retain these great businesses in the capital,’ explained Sheppard.
‘With these two new acquisitions in London, the Kadans portfolio now comprises of over 50 buildings and numerous projects under development in the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Belgium, France, Germany and Spain.'
The latest additions are 4 Brandon Road and 18-20 Tileyard Road which will be transformed into high-quality life science accommodation in The Knowledge Quarter in King's Cross, a centre of excellence for science and technology innovation.
The Knowledge Quarter is a consortium of over 75 academic, cultural, research, scientific and media organisations such as The Francis Crick Institute and University College London (UCL), the Wellcome Trust, Google, GSK, Merck and AstraZeneca.
Kadans was advised by Gerald Eve and Mills & Reeve on the acquisition of 4 Brandon Road and Mills & Reeve on 18-20 Tileyard.
