Paris-based asset manager AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has hired Stuart Carr-Jones from JPMorgan to head its UK, Ireland and Emerging Europe transactions team.

Carr-Jones has spent 14 years at JP Morgan Asset Management, most recently as senior acquisition officer in the European real estate group, where he focused on the UK market. Prior to that he was an analyst at JPMorgan Real Estate Investment Banking, specialising in the creation of private equity real estate funds.

In his new role at AXA IMRA he will be responsible for originating and executing investment opportunities, including due diligence and negotiation, in the UK and Ireland as well as Emerging Europe. He will also co-ordinate and manage relationships with key intermediaries and partners to maximise deal flow opportunities, define investment strategies and provide insight into their execution.
