Axèle Bastien has been appointed global head of legal for AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets (AXA IMRA), effective immediately.
Bastien joined AXA Investment Managers in 2006 as a corporate lawyer within the legal team. She moved to AXA IMRA in 2009, before taking charge in 2013 of a global team covering all equity investments made on behalf of AXA IMRA’s clients.
Her responsibilities included non-regulated products structuring, transactions across Europe and the US, asset management, development projects and the negotiation of mandates.
Bastien's new role will see her leading the global legal team, operating globally from three countries (France, UK and Belgium).
Before joining AXA Investment Managers, Bastien was a M&A private lawyer at Landwell & Associés and Gide Loyrette Nouel.
She graduated from the DJCE/ DESS droit des affaires in 1999 and from the Paris Bar Exam in 2000.
