Aviva Investors has reopened its European Property Sicav more than a year after it imposed a freeze on UK investors withdrawing from the EUR 250 mln vehicle. Back in November 2008, Aviva suspended dealing in the fund's units due to a lack of liquidity.

Since then Aviva Investors has strengthened the fund's position through the sale of assets at good prices. 'The outlook for the fund is increasingly positive. Over the past few months there has been a clear improvement in key economic indicators for the Eurozone and we now believe the worst of the valuation falls are behind us,' said Ben Stirling, head of Continental Europe real estate.
