Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has acquired a highly sustainable office building located in the heart of Amsterdam’s central business district for an undisclosed amount.
The building, known as Zuiderhof II, offers exceptional sustainability credentials with an Energy Label Rating of A and BREEAM In-Use certification of ‘Excellent’. Heat storage systems help to support sustainable heating and cooling of the building, alongside heat pump and dry coolers for regeneration. It also holds the Well Gold building standard.
In all, the building provides 17,600 m2 of Grade-A office space spread over eight floors, with open and flexible floorplates ranging between 2,000 and 3,400 m2. Occupiers also benefit from on-site restaurant facilities.
It is the third significant acquisition by Aviva Investors in Amsterdam’s Zuidas, Central Business District, in 2022, following its purchase of the highly sustainable FOZ building in the middle of the district in March and The Vondel Portfolio in April, comprising of eight office assets in April. The transaction builds on approximately €600 mln of pan-European real estate deals completed by Aviva Investors in the first half of 2022.
