Insurance giant Aviva has appointed its first head of continental Europe asset management as it looks to strengthen its position as one of the region's biggest real estate players.
Adrien Beuriot is moving from BNP Paribas REIM to take on the role, having previously worked at companies including Standard Life Investments, AXA Real Estate France and PwC. He will head teams in Paris and Frankfurt managing assets of around €5 bn.
Aviva Investors Real Assets has assets under management of £43 bn (€49 bn) and around 160 real estate professionals based in London, Paris and Frankfurt.
Daniel McHugh, managing director of real estate investment at Aviva Investors, said: 'Adrien brings broad-based expertise and leadership to our business, and his hire is another important step as we expand our European platform for external clients and Aviva.'
