The company said that Flaton would focus on the implementation of the company's European expansion strategy.

For the past 12 years, he has been working as a managing partner and CFOO for several private equity firms, two of which were sold successfully, and the other one spun off via an IPO. He brings 18 years of experience to the role.

'It is a great time of growth for Avignon, and we are delighted that Patrick is joining us during such an exciting period. Patrick provides a wealth of expertise, with in-depth knowledge and specialisms in fund structures and management, operational excellence, and deal structures,' commented Eric Mounier, CEO at Avignon Capital.

'We are confident that he will bring the insight and focus needed to help propel the firm to new heights,' Mounier added.

'I am looking forward to working with the Avignon team, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to use my past experience to help maximise the clear growth potential for the firm,' said Flaton.

Avignon Capital has acquired 11 assets in the UK and Europe so far this year, in addition to inking a joint venture with Curzon Cinemas that will see Avignon funding the development of multiple sites for the expanding UK cinema chain.
