UK housebuilder Avant Homes has started working on a £20.5 mln (€23.2 mln) housing development over a 2.9 hectare space on Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Brecks Lane Park includes 70 new homes with a mixture of three, four and five-bedroomed properties, with a quarter of them allocated for affordable housing.
Features include French doors, exclusive kitchen designs with integrated appliances, generous gardens, and off-street parking.
With planning permission granted in August last year, construction is expected to last for around two years and the first houses are expected to go on sale in August.
Avant Homes West Yorkshire managing director, Alastair Hart, said: ‘We’ve had great success delivering almost 400 homes at Waverley in Rotherham, so we are pleased to be extending our presence in the town with 70 new homes at Brecks Lane Park. We know that our design-led homes are popular with new homebuyers in the locality, so we are looking forward to progressing this development.’
The new houses are only a short distance from the town’s main railway station – the Rotherham Central Station, which offers direct services to Sheffield and connections to to other neighbouring South and West Yorkshire towns like Doncaster, Swinton and Meadowhall.
Avant Homes is also contributing £220,000 (€249,275) towards local education and transport such as bus services.
