Poland's largest electronics chain, Avans, has signed an agreement with Quinlan Private Golub to lease approximately 730 m[sup]2[/sup] of retail space in Bialystok's Galeria Podlaska. The new shop will be Avans' fourth in the city and its biggest so far. The chain has over 600 shops throughout the country. Avans will stage a special pre-Christmas promotional offer to coincide with the grand opening of the new store, which is set for November 2007.

Located 48 km from the border with Belarus, the more than 13,400 m2 of retail space offered by Galeria Podlaska already claims tenants such as Carrefour, Rossmann, CCC, Kolporter and Tiimari. The first joint project of Ireland-based Quinlan Private Golub and Portugal’s Spirit International, total investment in the centre is EUR 18 mln.
