Auxideico takes over management of Marineda in La Coruña

Auxideico, the Spanish subsidiary of retail specialist ECE, said on Tuesday that it has been awarded the management contract for Marineda City Shopping Center in La Coruña, North West Spain.

The centre, which was acquired by Merlin Properties at end-July, is one of the largest malls in Spain with a rental area of 176,000 m2, 190 shops and 6,500 parking spaces.

The scheme includes a 12-screen multiplex cinema operated by Cinesa, as well as a large variety of restaurants and department stores El Corte Inglés and Ikea.

'This new chance provides us with the opportunity to show that Auxideico is one of the leading centre management companies in Spain,' commented Rüdiger Dany, CEO of Auxideico.

The shopping centre is located at Marineda City, North West Spain's largest shopping destination comprising an overall sales area of 500,000 m2, a 15,000 m2 business centre as well as a four-star hotel.

Auxideico Gestión has been an independent subsidiary of ECE since 2010. The company was founded in 1994 and currently manages 16 malls.
