Austrian company GoAsset Development has opened a new logistics centre in Maribor, Slovenia, in which it invested over €20 mln.
Located in the Hoce industrial zone, Log Center Maribor offers over 30,000 m2 of top class storage space.
Part of the logistics centre has already been leased to Slovenian postal company Pošta Slovenije which will use the facilities to process and distribute all larger bulk shipments.
One third of the property is leased to other customers, while a small remaining part of capacity will be made available once the logistics platform is fully operational.
Michal Buban, the head of investments of GoAsset Development, said: ‘Thanks to the high-quality construction, the centre enables complete adaptability to the requirements of individual customers and offers opportunities for the implementation of various types of logistics activities. Slovenia has an excellent position in Maribor at the crossroads of corridors.’
Klemen Boncina, director of technology and logistics at Pošta Slovenije, added: ‘The premises are in line with plans to establish a common logistics network at the level of the entire group and to increase storage capacity due to the growth in the distribution of larger bulk shipments.’
Log Center Maribor provides direct access to the most important centres in Central and Southeastern Europe, making the location particularly attractive for companies seeking logistics and storage capacity.
This is the second project of Vienna-based GoAsset Development in Slovenia, besides the 120,000 m2 Adria logistics centre in Sežana which is in the construction phase.
