Atrium European Real Estate has appointed its head of acquisitions Liad Barzilai to the group executive management team with immediate effect.
Barzilai was promoted as Atrium’s head of acquisitions in September 2011, since when he has been responsible for building the company’s pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities.
He oversaw Atrium’s purchase of Palác Flóra in Prague, in 2011, and was responsible for sourcing and executing the company’s acquisitions in Poland of the Molo shopping centre, in Szczecin, and the Galeria Dominikañska, in Wroclaw, in December 2011 and June 2013 respectively.
Barzilai has been with Atrium since its formation under new management in August 2008. Having initially started as vice president of business development, he worked closely with chief executive Rachel Lavine and the rest of the management team on the turnaround and repositioning of the company.
