Atrium European Real Estate published a prospectus on Tuesday announcing that it has applied for its ordinary shares to be listed and traded on Euronext Amsterdam and the Vienna Stock Exchange. Subject to approval, trading in Atrium shares on both exchanges is expected to start on 19 August 2009.

Atrium is already quoted on the Vienna Stock Exchange in the form of Austrian depositary certificates. This quotation will be converted into a listing on the official market from 19 August to coincide with the new listing on Euronext Amsterdam.

The prospectus has been approved by the Austrian Financial Market Authority and will be passported into the Netherlands for the purpose of the listing on Euronext Amsterdam.

Atrium is a shopping centre investor and developer focussing on Central and Eastern Europe. By mid-2008 the company was active in 11 countries in CEE, South-eastern Europe and Russia. The portfolio included 160 properties with a total market value of more than EUR 2 bn in eight countries. Atrium also has a large portfolio of development projects and has established a land bank of over 1.9 million m2 for potential future development.

Commenting on the application, Atrium's CEO Rachel Lavine said: 'A second listing on a major international exchange was one of the key targets we set when we took over the management of Atrium and so I am very pleased that we are now able to publish our prospectus and announce a date for the company's shares to start trading on Euronext Amsterdam.'

She continued: 'We believe that the listing on Euronext Amsterdam will bring significant benefits to the company. As an internationally recognised and traded exchange, it opens Atrium up to a far wider universe of potential investors which we believe should result in increased analyst coverage, greater liquidity in Atrium's shares and enhanced pricing over the longer term.'

Atrium will publish its second-quarter and first-half results on 21 August 2009.
