Hotel Miramar

This strategic move expands their portfolio with two luxury hotels, solidifying their presence in the bustling city.

Nestled on Tibidabo mountain, Gran Hotel La Florida: boasts 70 elegant rooms with breathtaking city views and a blend of contemporary art with classic Barcelona flair. Recently renovated, it now welcomes guests under the care of Sunset Hospitality Group, ensuring a luxurious and personalized experience.

Perched atop Montjuïc, Hotel Miramar offers 75 sophisticated rooms and panoramic harbor vistas. Renovated by Oscar Tusquets in 2007, it boasts stunning Forestier gardens and a majestic limestone staircase. Hyatt Hotels & Resorts will bring their renowned expertise to this iconic property.

Víctor Martí, manager and founder, together with Bankinter Investment, of the Socimi, said: ‘The acquisition responds to the strategy of identifying profitable and sustainable four-star assets, also giving access to our investors to five and Grand Luxury assets in destinations with clients who demand this type of hotel. Singular assets such as Miramar and La Florida allow us to meet our investment objectives and rigorous returns, through predictable and recurring dividends.’

These acquisitions mark the first of the year in both Barcelona and Spain, signifying trust in the city's tourism potential and its ability to attract capital, brands, and visitors. With the purchase, Atom Hoteles now owns three Barcelona hotels, including the Ilunion Les Corts acquired in 2022.

The Barcelona acquisitions follow a recent divestment. In December, the Socimi sold the AC Ciudad de Sevilla hotel, generating an over 20% IRR for investors.
