Belgian property developer Atenor has announced plans to enter the Romanian market with the launch of a 78,000-m[sup]2[/sup] office project in Bucharest. The move is part of a new strategy by the company to 'concentrate on the most flourishing markets for the rental of offices', including the Central European markets.

Belgian property developer Atenor has announced plans to enter the Romanian market with the launch of a 78,000-m2 office project in Bucharest. The move is part of a new strategy by the company to 'concentrate on the most flourishing markets for the rental of offices', including the Central European markets.

'We recently opened ourselves up to the countries of Central Europe. In this, Bucharest naturally stood out, thanks in particular to its economic dynamism and to its enormous industrial potential,' Atenor said in a statement.

The Hermes Business Campus project will be located in the heart of the Romanian capital and will represent an investment of over EUR 150 mln. Phase I envisaging the development of 18,225 m2 of high-quality office space and 650 m2 of archives. Designed by architects B23T International, the scheme is planned to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2012. It includes 307 parking spaces.
