Belgian listed developer Atenor is poised to acquire two properties, totalling 24,000 m2, in the Brussels region with a view to upgrading them.
The investment volume has not been disclosed.
Atenor said on Monday that it had entered an exclusivity period with Immo-Beaulieu for the acquisition of the leasehold of two buildings located in Auderghem, Brussels.
These two buildings are located in the Beaulieu – Delta, a district currently undergoing significant urban development. Technically independent, the Beaulieu buildings, part of the Beaulieu Certificate, house the European Commission through a right of usufruct ending on 31 December 2020. The annual rent comes to €6 mln.
The transaction is subject to due diligence and to the approval of the general meeting of the Beaulieu Certificate holders.
'This new investment fits perfectly into Atenor's strategy to target large-size complexes in excellent locations, in order to offer the market high-performance buildings,' the company said.
