ASR Real Estate, the property asset management arm of Dutch insurance company ASR Nederland, has secured a new €150 mln commitment for its ASR Dutch core residential fund.

According to ASR Real Estate, a Dutch pension fund has become the vehicle's 11th investor with its capital pledge.

Robbert van Dijk, fund director of ASR Dutch core residential fund said: 'We are very pleased to welcome another new investor to the ASR Dutch core residential fund. The choice for our residential fund is a strong sign of support for our investment policy. We will continue this policy in the coming years and thus continue to focus on further growth of our investment portfolio, with an emphasis on sustainability and affordability.'

ASR said that the new investor was interested in 'sustainability and socially responsible investing'. The ASR fund has recently committed to, amongst other things, actively increasing the sustainability of the portfolio and its focus on the mid-priced rental segment.

The ASR Dutch core residential fund has a current volume of over € 1.5 bn, with a total target of around €2 bn. It invests in sustainable, high-quality apartments and single-family houses, particularly with mid-priced rents.
