Private US real estate investment firm Ashkenazy Acquisition has purchased the Old Spitalfields Market development in London for £105 mln (€123 mln).

The protected property in the heart of the City of London was put on the market last month by Dublin-based Ballymore Properties.

The deal marks the largest retail investment seen in London so far this year, according to figures from Cushman & Wakefield.

Tribeca Holdings, managed by Irish investor Aidan Brooks, advised the buyer on the deal.
