US private investor Arrow Capital Partners has announced the appointment of a head of Benelux as it seeks to build up a €500 mln investment portfolio in the region.
Arrow has appointed Martien van Deursen with a mandate to underwrite and execute transactions and investment management in the Netherlands, also on behalf of Arrow’s €3 bn SIRE joint venture.
Arrow currently has a portfolio of €100 mln+ multi-let, distribution and light industrial assets in the Netherlands mainly located in the Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht conurbations. It is planning to invest a further €500 mln over the next three years into similar assets that can be acquired in multiple ways including through (re)development structures.
Van Deursen joins from Cyclus Property, a Dutch real estate investment company specialising in equity and debt investment across the main real estate sectors. Before founding Cyclus, he was a managing director of industrial investment company Geneba Properties in Amsterdam and a board member of CBRE’s Dutch business.
Christian Bearman, partner at Arrow Capital, said: ‘This is another exciting appointment for Arrow. Martien knows the real estate market in the Netherlands intimately and will bring huge value to the business as we invest our €3 bn SIRE urban logistics and industrial vehicle in Europe and expand our office investment strategy.’
