Arjun Infrastructure Partners, the pan-European infrastructure asset manager, has appointed Asher Garnett as a managing director in its investor relations team.
Garnett joins from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) where he was head of real estate & infrastructure distribution with a specific focus on raising capital from global institutional investors to grow LGIM’s £35 bn real assets platform.
During his time at LGIM he also led the successful capital raise of the firm’s first infrastructure equity fund.
With nearly 20 years’ experience in real estate and infrastructure, including roles with Lendlease, UBS Asset Management, BlackRock and Bank of America, Garnett will join Arjun’s 32-strong team.
In his new capacity, Garnett will be responsible for capital raising in various regions of the world including building global consultant relationships.
François Bornens, partner at Arjun Infrastructure, said: 'Asher is a great fit for Arjun. His experience and skill set will compliment and boost our investor relations team significantly and mean we are even better placed to reach our goals.
'As we are building our investor relations team to accompany the development of Arjun, we’re delighted to welcome Asher.'
Garnett said: 'Arjun offers a unique opportunity to work with an experienced and very operational team. It has the perfect mix of interesting and high-performing existing assets, alongside a team with a strong ESG mindset. Arjun has the capacity to grow significantly in the coming years and it is a very exciting time for me to join the team.'
In 2023, Arjun has completed two investments for its latest flagship fund, one in the wholesale fibre space in France and one in a solar platform with main operations in France, Ireland and Iberia. Asher will participate actively to reach final close of this fund by the end of the year.
