US property fund manager Apollo Real Estate Advisors announced on Monday that it has sold its 41-room Dylan hotel in Amsterdam to a private investor for an undisclosed sum. Originally created by British designer Anouska Hempel, the hotel was launched as Blakes hotel in 1999 and renamed The Dylan in 2005. The hotel is located in a 17th century building in the heart of the city overlooking the famous Keizersgracht.

Apollo acquired the hotel in 2003 and appointed Hamilton Hotel Partners, a London-based specialist advisory firm to provide asset and subsequently operational management of the hotel. In 2005 Apollo took over direct management of The Dylan.

Apollo Real Estate Advisors also owns the Gran Hotel La Florida and AC Miramar Hotel in Barcelona, Spain as well as the Fairmont St Andrews Hotel in St Andrews, Scotland.
