Bermuda-based financial services provider Apex Group has appointed Barry Hindmarch to the newly created role of head of Real Estate, UK & Ireland and Channel Islands.
Hindmarch was previously at Blackrock, where he was a director with responsibility for managing the finance team reporting on various open and closed-ended EMEA Real Estate Funds (including the flagship £3.4 bn UK property fund). Prior to this, he spent five years at AXA Real Estate holding positions including Global head of Fund Accounting and UK head of AXA & Mandates Accounting. Over the course of his career, he has also held fund accounting roles at Patrizia (formerly Rockspring Property Investment Managers), Aberdeen Property Investment Managers (formerly Barclays Property Investors) and Lazard Brothers Merchant Bank.
The appointment is part of Apex’s growth in the real estate sector. Earlier this year, Apex appointed Michael Sheahan as Global head of Real Estate Fund Services.
