Dutch property fund manager Annexum said on Friday that it is creating a new company targeting international institutional investors active in the Netherlands.

In a statement, Annexum's managing partners Huib Boissevain and Olle van Alphen said the launch of the new firm is 'aimed at improving the access of foreign investors to the Dutch property market'.

'The Netherlands has a stable economy with a vast real estate market, where assets are available at relatively attractive prices. It is ideal for investors looking for attractive returns,' they said. Over EUR 1 bn of capital will be invested by foreign investors in Dutch real estate in 2013, they added.

Annexum International will be operative from October 15 and will focus on asset and property management services for foreign institutional investors.

The company will be independent from Annexum but will make use of Annexum's services.
