A joint venture between private alternative investment firm Angelo Gordon and investment manager APF International has acquired an office property in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

The asset at Varrolaan 50-100 was bought from a fund under the management of Syntrus Achmea. According to the Dutch Land Registry, the purchase price was €26.7 mln.

The office building covers around 16,000 m2, of which approximately 5000 m2 is currently let.

The partnership, which has collaborated on several Dutch deals in the past, said that the building would be renovated in a sustainable manner to transform it into an attractive work and meeting location, featuring the latest smart solutions and all necessary facilities.

Varrolaan 50-100 overlooks highways A27 and A28 and is accessible by car and public transport.

APF International and Angelo Gordon were assisted in the purchase by Osborne & Clarke, Nivab and PWC.
