There are currently 18,000 hotel rooms in the Dutch capital, and another 5,500 in the wider Amsterdam region. With the addition of at least 10,000 rooms, and preferably 13,000, the number of overnight stays at hotels in the greater Amsterdam area can rise by 40% to 2015, the report said.
