Brant joins Amro with more than five years of operational experience in purpose-built student accommodation. He was previously head of operations eastern region at CRM Students. He will be managing operations for Amro’s European purpose-built student accommodation and London-focused build-to-rent portfolios.

'James’ commitment to customer-centred management makes him an excellent fit for Amro and we’re thrilled to have him on board,' said Ami Kotecha, managing director at AmroLiving.

'James will be a huge asset in the delivery of our ambitious growth plans and I look forward to working with him as he leads on our operations platforms in European purpose-built student accommodation and London- focused build-to-rent,' Kotecha added.

Amro has recently expanded its activity in Iberia with the acquisition of a second development site in Seville. Brant brings significant knowledge of this region, having mobilised assets in Barcelona and Porto, according to the firm.

The Amro management team has been involved in the development of over 20,000 beds in the UK and is continuing to expand. Last year, the company launched AmroLiving and plans to deliver 1,500 homes across Greater London in the next five years.

'It’s an exciting time to join the Amro team; we’ve got a strong pipeline of activity for 2019 and there are a lot of opportunities in the dynamic and growing markets of European student accommodation and UK build to rent,' said Brant. 'I am thrilled to be joining the business and the management team and look forward to continuing Amro’s growth by remaining customer focused and committed to exceeding expectations.'
