Residential living investor, developer and operator Amro Partners has appointed Elisabetta Li Destri Nicosia to fill the newly created position of director for Sustainability & ESG.
With five years of experience as an architect and ten years at HTA Design as a sustainability consultant and senior associate in sustainable futures, she has a wealth of experience in environmental design, architecture, and building performance.
She will oversee the accomplishment of Amro's NZC2025 goal, develop its tech stack, and collaborate with teams in the UK and Europe to integrate sustainability at the asset, portfolio, and corporate levels.
Elisabetta Li Destri Nicosia commented: ‘My experience as an architect and sustainability consultant, alongside a master’s degree in building physics, has given me a deep understanding of how to design and deliver truly sustainable buildings. It’s this technical knowledge, combined with my strong belief in taking a holistic view to achieve net zero, that has driven me to the newly created Sustainability and ESG lead role at Amro Partners. Amro is in a great position to lead from the front on ESG and 2025 is just around the corner, so there’s no time to be wasted.’
Co-founder and head of Venture Investments at Amro Partners, Ami Kotecha, added: ‘We’re delighted to have Elisabetta join us to lead on our Net Zero vision. Her appointment is an important part of our commitment to be a net zero carbon organisation by 2025, creating best-in-class green buildings in the UK and Europe.’
Amro Partners targets the purpose-built student housing and build to rent sectors in the UK and Iberia, supported by a private family office and a management team with a track record of projects totaling £900 mln (€1.06 bn) in gross development value.
Through its Venture Investments, Amro invests in technology start-ups focusing on sustainability and decarbonisation; financial inclusion and wellbeing; and user experience of the built environment.
