Global industrial real estate company AMB Property Corporation announced that it has purchased a strategic logistics hub in the Netherlands for an undisclosed amount. The fully leased 52,000 m[sup]2[/sup] facility in Tilburg is centrally located for the Dutch market as well as the rest of Europe.
Global industrial real estate company AMB Property Corporation announced that it has purchased a strategic logistics hub in the Netherlands for an undisclosed amount. The fully leased 52,000 m2 facility in Tilburg is centrally located for the Dutch market as well as the rest of Europe.
The facility, AMB Tilburg Distribution Centre 1, is currently leased to Ingram Micro, a global technology distribution and sales company, and Walsh Western International, a logistics and supply chain solutions company. Ingram Micro also leases space from AMB at Changi Airport in Singapore.
'AMB is targeting Tilburg for investment as it is a key node along the global supply chain, and we are encouraged to see that the city is making moves to further position itself as a leading logistics hub. AMB Tilburg Distribution Center 1 is situated in one of the most important logistics parks in Tilburg,' said vice president for Benelux Anton van Vlerken.
AMB's European portfolio totaled more than 904,500 m2 of operating and under development properties as of September 30, 2007.
