Financial details were not disclosed.

The Rijnplein shopping centre is located in the city of Alphen aan den Rijn, and comprises approximately 12,800 m2 of retail space. The asset's principal tenants include H&M, MediaMarkt and various local entrepreneurs.

Erwin Wessels, chief investment officer of Altera said: 'With this sale, we are continuing our investment strategy, which is aimed at creating a portfolio consisting of supermarkets and neighbourhood shopping centres.

'Convenience real estate in areas with robust demographics contributes to a stable direct return for our investors and is less sensitive to the effects of e-commerce and cyclical changes.'

CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield advised Altera during the sale.
