Dutch real estate investor Altera has continued its sale of non-core assets with the disposal of the Arendshof II shopping centre in Oosterhout.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The deal follows the disposal of non-strategic assets in the city centres of Deventer, Emmeloord and Rotterdam and the Rijnplein shopping centre in Alphen.
The Arendshof II shopping centre comprises approximately 9,125 m2 of retail space and an indoor parking garage with 562 parking spaces. It is currently leased to H&M, Intertoys, Van Haren Schoenen, D-Reizen, Beter Horen, Hans Anders and various local entrepreneurs.
Erwin Wessels, chief investment officer of Altera, said: 'In recent years we have worked with the municipality of Oosterhout and developer Maas-Jacobs on the vision to transform Arendsplein into an inner-city residential environment.
'This sale to the municipality will enable it to take the next step in the implementation of its vision. Approximately 75% of our portfolio now consists of food and convenience real estate and will grow further in 2021 through buying and selling and asset management activities.'
The deal comes just a few days after the sale of a retail portfolio at Korte Lijnbaan and Karel Doormanstraat in Rotterdam to an investment vehicle of the Welgelegen Groep and Van der Kooy Vastgoed. The retail spaces (in total 4,062 m2) are let to Claudia Sträter, Xiaomi, Dodgers, Donna Li, Lederpaleis, Kan Mode, Moda Milan, Eazie, Burger King Donutella and IFFR.
