German stock exchange Deutsche Boerse said on Thursday that Alstria Office REIT was the first German REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) to be launched on its new REITs segment and indices. Hamburg-based Alstria Office focuses exclusively on acquiring, owning and managing office real estate in Germany. Deutsche Boerse launched the new REITs segment on 7 November.

Founded in January 2006 by a subsidiary of Captiva Capital Partners 2 SCA, Alstria owns 71 properties valued at EUR 1.6 bn . The company intends to invest a further EUR 500-750 mln in property over the next three years.
