Alpha Industrial said on Monday it is teaming up with Grieshaber Logistics to build a new logistics park for the pharmaceuticals sector in the Rheinfelden Süd industry park in the state of Baden-Württemberg, at the German border with Switzerland.

Phase I of the project will include a 20,000 m2 logistics property with an additional 5,000 m2 mezzanine and 600 m2 for office and communal space on a 48,000 m2 site. Completion is scheduled for May 2013. Phase II will see the construction of a further 32,000 m2 on a separate 51,000 m2 property.

Grieshaber Logistics Group – a logistics company specialising in health care and industry solutions - currently employs around 500 staff across Europe.

'We are very happy to be continuing our excellent collaboration with Grieshaber Logistics Group,' said Jörg Schröder, Managing Shareholder of Alpha Industrial. 'This is the second major project in the last five years in the pharmaceuticals sector for Alpha Industrial, after the two-phase construction of the 32,000 m2 global warehouse for Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA near Darmstadt.' That project was completed in 2011 in partnership with Grieshaber Logistik Group.
