Scott Tyler is to step down from the position following the completion of his two terms in the role which commenced in February 2016. After Boyd takes up the position, Tyler will remain an equity partner within the commercial national investments team, a position he has been fulfilling alongside his role as senior partner.

Boyd, who is currently head of Allsop’s residential transactional and living markets (RTLM) team will become the partnership’s 7th senior partner in 118 years, having been founded in 1906. The appointment will be for an initial four-year term.

Since joining the business from Savills in 2016, Boyd has played a key role in the expansion of the residential side of the business.

As well as leading the RTLM team – which advises on investments into asset classes such as residential development, land, build-to-rent (BTR), and purpose-built student accommodation – Boyd is a director of Allsop Letting & Management, an operator of BTR, multi-family and single-family rental accommodation.

Said Boyd: 'I am honoured to be elected by my peers as the next senior partner. Allsop is a fantastic business with exceptional people and a unique culture.'

Said Tyler: 'Andrew is well-known as one of the UK’s leading residential development and investment specialists, and has been a member of Allsop’s management board since 2019.

'He has been a major part of our success and growth on the residential side of the business, where growth has been 54% over the last three years and residential income is now pushing towards 50% of our overall turnover.'
