Allianz Real Estate has purchased the Express South office building in Brussels. Financial details were not disclosed.

The asset is located in the centre of Brussels near the Gare du Midi railway station and was sold by a fund managed by Generali Group.

Built in 2008 and fully leased by rail company SNCB Holding subsidiary Tuc Rail, the building totals around 10,730 m2 of offices.

'We are pleased with this acquisition, which is the second by the Allianz Group in the district of Brussels after South City was acquired in December 2010. This new transaction underlines our interest in the Belgian market and Brussels in particular,' said Olivier Wigniolle, CEO of Allianz Real Estate France.

The vendor was advised by CBRE.
