Allianz Real Estate, the property arm of the insurance giant, has appointed John Slade as a senior advisor for its London equity investments division.
Slade will advise the senior management team focused on London expansion, including Kari Pitkin, head of business development at Allianz Real Estate, and Nicole Poetsch, head of NC&E acquisitions.
According to Allianz Real Estate, the appointment is intended to boost the expansion of its London portfolio and further diversify its exposure to the UK.
Slade has over 40 years’ experience in the real estate industry, with an acknowledged expertise in the Central London investment market. He has worked with many leading real estate firms, including the management of some of the sector’s largest and most important transactions.
While advising Allianz Real Estate, he will continue as chairman of Duff & Phelps REAG International. His previous roles have included chief executive of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK, executive chairman of Evans Randall Investors, and founding joint owner and chief executive of Accrue Capital Ltd UK.
