Allianz Real Estate has purchased the Skyper office complex in the heart of Frankfurt's banking district.
The high-rise complex was sold by a fund advised by UBS for a reported €300 mln. The purchase marks the first Frankfurt skyscraper in Allianz’s property portfolio and was conducted on behalf of various Allianz companies.
The Skyper complex comprises a 38-storey tower as well as a six-storey building of shops and offices and the listed Villa Holzmann building. The complex boasts total floor space of approximately 54,100 m2.
The building’s primary tenants include Deutsche Bundesbank, Deka Investmentfonds, financial services organisation HSBC and international law firms Bird & Bird and Weil Gotshal & Manges.
Allianz was advised by CBRE and Berwin Leighton Paisner, the seller by Jones Lang LaSalle.
