Canadian asset manager, Fiera Capital, bought UK real estate company Palmer Capital in 2019 – now the company is paving the way for growth with the appointment of a new CEO of its property platform.
Alex Price will stay with the company as the current CEO transitions to vice chairman in support of Fiera's global growth, most particularly in Europe.
Into his shoes steps Charles Allen who has been elevated from head of transactions.
As CEO of Fiera Real Estate UK from 1 July, Allen will be responsible for management of the real estate business and execution of strategy.
Allen joined the company in 2013 when it was independent boutique, Palmer Capital, overseeing the firm’s acquisitions, disposals and new business development.
He was previously in the corporate finance team at advisory firm, Ernst & Young where he focussed on capital raising, M&A and restructuring. He qualified as a chartered surveyor whilst working at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
John Valentini, president and CEO of Fiera Private Markets, said: ‘I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Charles on his promotion and I look forward to working with him in his new role, to continue the successful growth of the UK business. I would also like to sincerely thank Alex for leading the evolution of the UK business to this point and am excited to see his role expand to help support the global business.’
Price said: ‘Charles has the skillset required to further advance the successful integration of FRE UK into Fiera Capital and I believe he can lead the UK team through its next stage with a fresh perspective and new ideas.’
