International residential investor Akelius Residential Property has purchased 211 apartments in London for a total of £84 mln (€94 mln).

10 of the 15 properties containing the apartments are located in Hampstead, with another two buildings in Belsize Park, and one each in Southgate, Crouch End and Finchley. The majority of the assets were built in the early 1900s.

Akelius, which buys, upgrades and manages residential assets, currently owns 47,000 apartments in Sweden, Germany, France, Canada, UK, the US and Denmark.

Last month, the company purchased a block comprising 183 apartments in Copenhagen for SEK 639 mln (€65 mln).
