German investor AIK has acquired the Science 14 office building in Brussels from CBRE Global Investors on behalf of one of its funds.

German investor AIK has acquired the Science 14 office building in Brussels from CBRE Global Investors on behalf of one of its funds.

The asset was bought on behalf of one of AIK's real estate funds launched for a German occupation pension fund.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Located at Rue de la Science 14, the complex includes three interconnected buildings - Belliard, Atrium and Mansion - comprising 12,000 m2 of lettable area. They are nearly 100% occupied and let to 15 different tenants. The entire ensemble was refurbished in 2008/2010.

This remarkable building ensemble in a central location of the Belgian capital with its multi-tenant structure meets exactly our security-orientated investment criteria,' said Stephan Hinsche, spokesman of the AIK management board.

The vendor was advised by Cushman & Wakefield, JLL acted for the buyer.
