German fund manager AIK has acquired another office property in the centre of Brussels.

German fund manager AIK has acquired another office property in the centre of Brussels.

The 5,000 m2 building located near the EU Parliament and European Commission headquarters was acquired on behalf of one of AIK's real estate funds operated for a German occupation pension fund.

The vendor was Belgian special purpose vehicle named R+V Real Estate Belgium. The investment volume was not disclosed.

'Brussels constitutes one of our selective locations in Europe among Vienna and Luxembourg. Our new investment was an exceptional chance which we happily took in order to complete our Brussels portfolio consisting of 9 buildings by this time.' said Stephan Hinsche, spokesman of AIK's management board.

Last November AIK acquired a 9,000 m2 office building in Brussels for €22 mln.
