Aguirre Newman has been appointed to manage two new shopping centres, Planetocio in Madrid and Plaza Imperial in Zaragoza, southern Spain.

Aguirre Newman has been appointed to manage two new shopping centres, Planetocio in Madrid and Plaza Imperial in Zaragoza, southern Spain.

Planetocio, located in the Villalba district of the Spanish capital, provides 24,000 m2 of gross lettable area and was recently refurbished. The asset is owned by Dutch listed group Wereldhave.

The Medianas Plaza Imperial shopping centre and retail park offers a total of 132,000 m2 of gross area and is owned by developer DuProm and hypermarket group Eroski.

Opened in September 2008, the shopping centre also offers 6,000 parking spaces.

The mandates bring the total number of malls managed by Aguirre Newman to 17 offering a combined 614,000 m2 of retail space.
