AG Real Estate, a subsidiary of AG Insurance and the largest real estate group in Belgium, has appointed Xavier Denis as chief development officer, joining the firm's management committee and board of directors.
As chief development officer, Denis will head the group's entire development activities, covering residential, offices, retail, etc. and providing leadership for the ad hoc teams.
'We would like to welcome Xavier to our management committee,' said Serge Fautré, CEO of AG Real Estate.
'We are convinced that his skills, his personality and his experience will contribute to our shared values of responsibility, creativity and team spirit. They will also enable us to continue to hold our own as a leader on the Belgian real estate market but also as a recognized player in France and Luxembourg.'
Denis recently stepped down as chief operating officer of Cofinimmo after seven years in a management role at the Benelux-focused landlord. He originally joined Cofinimmo in 2002 as head of project development and area manager.
Other roles have included positions at architectural firms Chapman Taylor and HOK Sport, now known as Populous. Denis holds a degree in civil engineering and architecture from the Catholic University of Louvain and has also earned an MBA from INSEAD.
AG currently has around 30 new projects under development for a total area of 800,000 m2 across the markets of Belgium, France and Luxembourg.
